I had the opportunity to fly with Air Canada EWR Terminal recently out of the recently renovated Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport, and I must say that the entire experience was surprisingly enjoyable. I had flown through Newark before, so I was used to the typical crowded corridors and dilapidated buildings. However, it was like entering a totally different airport when Terminal A reopened in 2023 following a significant renovation. The room is airy, roomy, and well-planned; it has high ceilings, broad walkways, and an abundance of natural light, all of which immediately created a cozier and more welcoming atmosphere. The Air Canada check-in process was smooth and fast. I used one of the self-service kiosks to print my boarding pass and bag tag, and there were friendly staff nearby in case anyone needed help. Security lines were organized and moved quickly, and once I was past that, I had plenty of time to enjoy the terminal before my flight. Terminal A has a nice variety of food and coffee options, clean restrooms, and plenty of seating areas equipped with charging ports—making it easy to settle in and recharge both devices and energy. Even though Newark Airport Air Canada Terminal doesn't have a lounge here, I didn't really miss it because the terminal was cozy and peaceful. I discovered a location close to my gate that offered a fantastic view of the runway, and I truly relished the serene ambiance. All in all, the trip was easy and up to date; it was undoubtedly a significant improvement for EWR and a fantastic beginning to my Air Canada adventure.
