Hi there, I flew with Southwest Airlines LAX Terminal last week, and to be honest, it was a nice surprise. The terminal is not flashy like the new ones, but it gets the job done. Security lines were decent, and there were friendly staff members all over. After clearing security, the atmosphere was laid back. There's a little bit of retro character in the room, and it doesn't feel as congested as other terminals. I was able to get a coffee and breakfast wrap from the food court without standing in an enormous line. Boarding went well—Southwest's group boarding system this time actually made sense, and gate agents got the job done. My sole gripe? Too little room to sit during busy times. Otherwise, however, it was run smoothly and efficiently. Flying Southwest? Don't worry. Allow yourself plenty of time and pack a patience pack—after all, it's the terminal itself is just fine.
