Hello! Southwest operates out of Terminal 1, as I found out when I recently took a flight from Southwest Airlines DCA Terminal. To be honest, the process was made easier by the terminal's reduced size. I liked that I didn't have to walk far with my carry-on because the check-in location was close to security. Everything seemed well-organized, and the staff was kind. The food selection was modest yet adequate. Considering that I was flying alone, Terminal 1 made my Southwest flight stress-free overall. Simply go directly to Terminal 1 if you're flying Southwest, and you'll be ready to go!
